Dreams and Reality

Time and space do not exist; the imagination spins, weaving new patterns on a flimsy basis of reality: a mixture of memories, experiences, free associations, absurdities and improvisations. The characters split, double, multiply, evaporate, condense, dissolve and merge. But one consciousness rules them all: the dreamer’s; for him there are no secrets, no inconsistencies, no scruples and no laws.

Ashtanayika:Kalahantarita (one separated by quarrel)

The Ashta-Nayika is a collective name for eight types of nayikas or heroines as classified by Bharata in his Sanskrit treatise on performing arts - Natya Shastra. The eight nayikas represent eight different states (avastha) in relationship to her hero or nayaka

Ganga behti hai kyun?

Bistar hain apar, praja dono par
Kare hahakar nishapda sada
O ganga tum ganga behti ho kyun?

Naitikata nasht hui, manavta bhrasht hui
Nirlajya bhav se behti ho kyun?

Itihaans ki pukaar, kare hunkaar
O Ganga ki dhar, nirbal jan ko
Sabal sangrami, samagragrami
Banati nahi ho kyun?

Anparh jan, aksharhin
Anginjan kaijyabihin
Nidrabihin dekh mouna kyun

Itihaans ki pukaar, kare hunkaar
O Ganga ki dhar, nirbal jan ko
Sabal sangrami, samagragrami
Banati nahi ho kyun?
Vyakti rahe vyakti kendrik
Sakal samaj byaktitya rahit
Nishpran samaj ko tor ti naa kyun

The kathakali Man

The Kathakali Man is the most beautiful of men. Because his body is his soul. His only instrument. From the age of three he has been planed and polished, pared down, harnessed wholly to the task of story-telling. He has magic in him, this man within the painted mask and swirling skirts - Arundathi Roy

Poema de Mario

Sentir primeiro, pensar depois
Perdoar primeiro, julgar depois
Amar primeiro, educar depois
Esquecer primeiro, aprender depois
Libertar primeiro, ensinar depois
Alimentar primeiro, cantar depois
Possuir primeiro, contemplar depois
Agir primeiro, julgar depois
Navegar primeiro, aportar depois
Viver primeiro, morrer depois"

-Mario Quintana
